Baseline assessment results from Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Mali

Both baseline assessment papers have been published this year: “Baseline Characteristics of a Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial Targeting Hand Hygiene in Primary Healthcare in Burkina Faso and Mali” and “Baseline Assessment of Handwashing Behavior, Hand Hygiene Conditions, and Wellbeing in Primary Schools in Nigeria” in the open-access International Journal of Public Health (IJPH).

Results from chlorination experiments and water quality assessments

Two universities of the consortium, EPFL in Switzerland and PPU in Palestine, work on chlorination experiments covering different aspects. EPFL investigated the effect of chlorine in the presence of soap “Effect of surfactants on inactivation of Bacillus subtilis spores by chlorine” published in Water Research and PPU investigated water quality and chlorine levels in schools’ drinking water “Characterization and evaluation of physiochemical and microbiological water quality parameters in Palestinian schools: a case study from Central Hebron Directorate”, published in the Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration.
