RANAS
Background
For more than 15 years, the founders of Ranas – a spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science, Eawag – have been advising national and international organisations on systematic human behaviour change.
Their experience in implementing behaviour change projects ranges from drinking water treatment and storage, hygiene and sanitation behaviours to environmental behaviours and many more.
The RANAS approach to systematic behaviour change is based on theories from health and environmental psychology, and has been widely implemented and scientifically proven in over 30 countries.
Relevant experiences
Experts in systematic behaviour change with background in Health and Environmental Psychology, with vast experience in conducting research and consulting projects on hygiene behaviours in low-income countries.
Role in the hands4health project
Assessment of motivators and barriers for uptake of the hand hygiene innovations. Development of behaviour change campaign design tool-kit as part of the systemic approach. Training and certification of RANAS experts.
