Disseminating hands4health project activities and results

The Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) participated in the Tenth International Conference on Environmental Management, Engineering, Planning and Economics (CEMEPE) and SECOTOX Conference, held in Skiathos island, Greece, from June 5 to 9, 2023. This conference aims to foster the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences between professionals, researchers, environmentalists and policy makers involved or interested in the fields of environmental science, engineering, and management.

The conference was attended by the senior researchers Dr. Sawalha and Dr. Al-Jabari, who presented the hands4health activities and results in two different contributions about their research on water quality and storage. The PPU team actively supports the water quality and chlorination component of the hands4health project, and has been leading the investigation and testing of water saving taps. The next steps for PPU’s work within the hands4health framework include an experimental and modelling study on the chlorination dispensing process.
